Ranked #15 and counting!!!

FSU raised their win total to 6 and their ranking to #15 in the BCS. Although they seem to enjoy spotting the opponent a few points before taking over, FSU is looking more and more like the Noles of old. It's great to see.

Come out and support the Noles against georgia tech this Saturday at 3:30pm at BlackFinn in Royal Oak.

Please RSVP so I can tell them how many we have coming.

Go Noles!

The 2009-2010 Florida State University Service Scholar Program applications are now available online at the Center for Leadership and Civic Education website (www.thecenter.fsu.edu). They are also available in print format on campus at The Center, and I have attached an electronic copy to this email.

An important part of continuing the Service Scholars Program’s proven value in creating student leaders and models of exemplary service is recruiting incoming Scholar classes. The Center for Leadership and Civic Education is making tremendous efforts to promote this opportunity to all incoming freshmen, but we need your help!

If you are interested in helping promote the Service Scholars Program and encouraging incoming freshmen to apply, please share the following information with other alumni, community contacts, and high schools in your area, or email me with the name of your contact(s), their title, the school name/student name, and complete mailing address, and I will gladly get in touch with them.

The Service Scholar Program is a unique scholarship program that is designed to recognize students with an outstanding record of service and leadership and to promote civic responsibility as an integral part of a liberal arts education at Florida State University. Admission to the Program is reserved for freshmen who have demonstrated excellence in service and leadership in planning and promoting service among their peers. As a member of the program, Service Scholars follow their own path of individual community service, participate in group projects with fellow Scholars, attend regular social and educational sessions, and learn leadership and advocacy skills.

Selection to the Service Scholar Program is highly competitive. Service Scholars are awarded a four-year renewable scholarship in the amount of $2,400 annually. For more information about benefits, the application process, and program requirements, please visit the Center for Leadership and Civic Education online at www.thecenter.fsu.edu. Do not delay! Apply now! The completed application must be postmarked by January 16, 2009 to be considered for this unique program.

On behalf of The Center for Leadership and Civic Education, I hope, with your help, that many more incoming freshmen will know about this amazing program at FSU. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks for your help! Go ‘Noles!
